Germany has a message to Donald Trump on defense

Today, Ursula von der Leyen, Defense Minister, said on Friday that Germany is ready to scale up military spending. This comes as a response to Donald Trump in return for Washington’s continued commitment to NATO.

“We Germans want to accept this challenge, and we want to accept it as Europeans,” Von der Leyen said. Amongst her audience, there was her U.S. counterpart James Mattis.
