TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Scope of Application
1.1 The following Standard Terms & Conditions of Business (hereinafter “T&C”) apply to the submission of written and audiovisual content to My Country? Europe. through the website www.mycountryeurope.com and/or via email at info@mycountryeurope.com or submissions@mycountryeurope.com
1.2 The following T&C do not create an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship between My Country? Europe. and the User, both in the case of rejected and accepted submissions.
1.3 Each submission by the User which is accepted for publication by My Country? Europe. constitutes a single one-off transaction between the parties on these T&C.
1.4 Any terms of business which diverge from these T&C shall not apply. Any confirmation from the User that is based on the latter’s own terms of business is expressly refuted. The User’s terms of business shall not become an integral part of any agreement unless My Country? Europe. has expressly confirmed them in writing.
2. Copyright and Ownership
2.1 By submitting any written or audiovisual content to My Country? Europe. for consideration, the User agrees to the following T&C.
2.2 The User may only submit content which is of his/her original creation. By submitting content, the User warrants that he/she owns all ownership rights related to the content in the form provided and that this does not violate or infringe (or could be reasonably expected to violate or infringe) the copyright, identity, registered trademark or intellectual property rights of any others.
2.3 The User agrees to transfer exclusive rights of publication and reproduction of the content to My Country? Europe. upon written confirmation that the content submitted has been accepted for publication. The User may not submit the content for publication, translation or reproduction on any other medium without previous authorisation of My Country? Europe.
2.4 The User retains moral rights over any content submitted. My Country? Europe. undertakes to credit the User for his or her content at all times through authorship mention.
2.5 The User agrees to fully indemnify and hold My Country? Europe. harmless against any liabilities, claims, costs (including legal costs), loss (including consequential loss) or damage incurred as a result of any content provided by the User, or as a result of any breach by the User of the T&C.
3. Publication
3.1 Publication of any content submitted for consideration is at the entire discretion of My Country? Europe.’s editorial staff.
3.2 In evaluating submitted content, My Country? Europe. undertakes to follow the guidelines provided on the website itself and any additional considerations requested in writing by the User before the submission of the content.
3.3 By submitting content, the user agrees to its publication without compensation on My Country? Europe.’s website, any and all of its social media channels, and its partner organisations.
3.4 My Country? Europe. reserves the right to correct, edit, amend or otherwise change the contents of any submission intended for publication.
3.5 The User may at any point request the removal of his/her content from My Country? Europe.
3.6 Upon request, My Country? Europe. can provide feedback on rejected submissions.
