2018 will be the fifteenth time Belarus competes in Eurovision. The eastern country has reached the top ten only one time since its debut in 2004, in 2007 with Work Your Magic of Dmitry Koldun that finished sixth.
In Lisbon, Belarus will be represented by ALEKSEEV, the artist name of Nikita Alekseev, twenty-four years old singer born in Kyiv. He rose to fame when in 2014 he took part in the Ukrainian edition of The Voice. He didn’t win, but he became the most popular participant of the series.
He is well known in Belarus and considers himself to be a Belarusian artist, which is why he took part in the country’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
With his song, FOREVER, he hopes listeners will open up to their emotions and feelings. During the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest it is his main goal to share his own feelings and emotions with the world.
