Montenegro: Road to Eurovision

This is the tenth times for Montenegro at the Eurovision, since its debut in 2007, before this date it has participated as part of Yugoslavia from 1961 to 1991 and as part of Serbia and Montenegro from 2004 to 2006.

It previous nine contests, the country wasn’t really lucky, the best result is a thirteenth place in 2005 with Knez and the song Adio.

This year the country will be represented by Vanja Radovanović a Montenegrin singer and songwriter.

Vanja rose to fame in 2004 when he competed at the Budva Music Festival where he won the award for the Best Debut with the song Dripac.

Over the last decade Vanja has released numerous new singles, composed songs for other artists, performed at countless concerts, and also became the lead singer of the band called VIII2.

He wrote and composed Inje, Montenegro’s song for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest.
